Located 8 miles upstream of the confluence of the Middle and South forks of the Smith River, in the heart of the Smith River National Recreation Area. RCR is a place where visitors and guests can withdraw from the busy world for inspiration and renewal.

This 15 acre property has a significant amount of frontage on the South Fork of the Smith River. The river in this reach features rapids, deep pools and lovely shallows suitable for all ages and abilities.

At the center of the grounds, remnants of and old lodge (lost to flooding in the 1950's) overlook the Majesty hole, a deep pool that showcases the pristine Smith River.Vegetation around the old building's foundation has been cleared and the inspiring site serves as an impromptu ampitheatre, outdoor classroom and a perfect site for weddings and other ceremonies.

Facilities at Rock creek Ranch include a three bedroom ranch house, with a large recently constructed deck . On the grounds ae also a garden, orchard and state of the art composting toilet, which serves visitors and campers using the beautiful riverside terrace at the upstream end of the property. There is also a covered outdoor use area "The Longhouse" that serves as an outdoor meeting, dining and teaching area. It is a lovely place to relax and watch the river flow while protected from the elements.
